WHAT IF I'M NOT SURE MY THERAPIST IS A GOOD FIT?

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN MY FIRST SESSION?

We understand.  We believe therapists are not one size fits all. We do our best to take the information you give us to place you with a therapist best suited for your goals and specific needs.  However, after 3 sessions if it does not feel like a good fit, let us know!  We will be happy to help you connect with someone else.

Your first session is an opportunity to discuss you concerns, goals, and what you're looking for in therapy.  Your clinician will ask questions to get to know you and develop a treatment plan that fits your needs.

CAN WE SEE A THERAPIST FOR COUPLES WORK AND INDIVIDUAL?

CAN I COME TO LUMINARY FOR THERAPY AND MEDICATION MANAGEMENT SERVICES?

Therapy and medication management are separate services.  Individuals who come to Luminary can come for one or both services.

We have found that for patients who are seeking medication for mental health  - specialized providers such as psychiatric prescribers are very successful options for maximizing benefits.

Additionally the combination of therapy and medication management can improve outcomes in many cases.  Having an in house provider allows for  successful collaboration between therapist and prescriber when the patient is interested in wrap around care.

Luminary has several therapist on our team.  Not all therapists offer couples counseling. If you are interested in couples/marriage counseling and also individual counseling we are happy to match you with a therapist for each.
